Reports are circulating this evening alleging that Labour Councillors Danny Millard and Claire Mayo, from Sandwell Council, have been suspended from the Labour Party following a police investigation into an alleged assault in Cradley Heath.
It is understood that the alleged assault took place on Surfeit Hill Road at around 2am on 20th July, 2025.
The Labour Party acted swiftly, administratively suspending both councillors upon receiving the allegations. Due to the ongoing police investigation, no further details have been provided by the party or the councillors.
