Chancellor Rachel Reeves is being investigated by Parliament's standards watchdog after she failed to declare freebies on time. The freebies in question were four tickets to the National Theatre which are estimated to have a value of £276.
Rachel Reeves didn't register the donation until 27 March 2025, exceeding the period of 28 days.
Rachel Reeves was criticised earlier this year after she accepted free tickets to a Sabrina Carpenter concert at London's O2 arena. Rachel Reeves reportedly told the BBC "I felt I was doing the right thing, but I do understand perceptions. I recognise the feeling here. I have no intention of doing that again".
