Rael Braverman quits Reform UK - the day after Zia Yusuf attacked Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick

July 16th, 2025

Rael Braverman joined Reform UK in December 2024. He announced his defection from the Conservative Party on social media, citing disillusionment with the Tories’ “incompetence and failure to deliver.”

Head of DOGE for Reform UK, Zia Yusuf,  continually attacked Rael's wife, Suella Braverman, yesterday after news of an Afghan data leak emerged, resulting in thousands of Afghans being relocated to the UK. The data leak and relocation details were hidden from the public via a super-injunction.

This morning Rael Braverman announced that he has left Reform UK with "immediate effect".

Many believe his departure followed tensions, including Reform UK’s criticism of his wife, Suella Braverman, over her record as Home Secretary and the party’s rejection of her potential defection to Reform UK.
